A smart automotive electronics and precision machinery fabrication plant in Penang, Malaysia, required an automated vertical material lift to bridge production logistics between the ground-floor receiving hall and an elevated steel mezzanine assembly deck. The plant deploys a fleet of autonomous laser-guided AGV forklifts and automated tugger carts to transport heavy pallets of component raw materials weighing up to 3,000 kg. Because the mezzanine layout restricted linear through-traffic, material entry and exit required an adjacent right-angle flow pattern across a 4.7-meter vertical rise.

To eliminate civil floor excavation while maintaining automated fleet synchronization, the Gradin engineering team engineered an advanced AGV Interfaced Hydraulic Freight Lift. The structural architecture relies on a Two-Cylinder Four-Rail Mast Structure anchored directly to the plant mezzanine framing. The entire system adheres strictly to the ASME B20.1 Safety Compliance code for vertical material conveyors and hydraulic lifters . Plant engineers integrated this Gradin unit alongside our portfolio of custom hydraulic freight lifts to establish continuous lights-out vertical material handling.
