We engineered this advanced Hydrogen Electrolyzer Assembly Platform for a prominent green hydrogen project in Ben Tre province, Vietnam, where handling vertical megawatt-scale electrolyzer stacks requires extreme precision and safety. At our client’s clean-energy production facility, our newly developed Hydrogen Electrolyzer Assembly Platform is customized to enable the safe vertical stacking of heavy electrochemical cells. Because the assembly workshop requires strict contamination control to protect sensitive proton exchange membranes (PEM), this custom cleanroom VRC lifter operates in a highly controlled environment. Unlike standard warehouse lifters, we designed this vertical assembly system as a specialized vertical electrolyzer stacker system, requiring a certified 15-ton load capacity to support the heavy cell stacks during high-precision compression. To view our full portfolio of heavy material handling lift solutions, check our relative solutions at heavy-duty-scissor-lift. In terms of safety, our engineering team designed the vertical transport systems to comply with international water electrolysis standards such as ISO 22734-1 to prevent gas leakages or electrochemical contamination during stacking
Regarding vertical stack alignment, the Hydrogen Electrolyzer Assembly Platform is engineered with four highly rigid structural masts. During our design validation, we analyzed the structural load paths under heavy eccentric moments, as the weight of the cell layers fluctuates during stacking. To maintain perfect coaxial alignment of the cells, the lift platform must not tilt or sway. This rigidity requirement means that conventional single-cylinder lifts are inadequate because they lack multi-point height synchronization. By implementing our closed-loop multi-cylinder synchronization system for this gantry, we ensure that the platform deck maintains an absolute level plane during vertical travel.
