CSSC Marine Power Component Co., Ltd., situated in the Lingang Free Trade Zone of Pudong, Shanghai, is a premier manufacturing base specializing in high-power two-stroke marine diesel engine components. The production facility machines, hones, and inspects massive marine diesel engine cylinder liners weighing up to 15,000 kg with lengths reaching 4.8 meters and outer diameters up to 1.5 meters. Manufacturing flow requires rotating precision-machined cylinder liners between a horizontal orientation (for inner bore CNC boring and honing) and a vertical orientation (for ultrasonic non-destructive testing, dimensional CMM inspection, and packaging).

Using bridge cranes with fabric slings or wire chokers to turn 15-ton polished cylinder liners created severe slipping hazards, bore ovality deformation, and mirror-finish scuffing. To eliminate high-risk crane flipping, the Gradin engineering team engineered an automated 15-Ton Hydraulic Tilting Machine. The installation integrates an Automated Motorized Roller Positioning Bed lined with 10mm Polyurethane Protective Lining and secured by an active Hydraulic Mechanical Clamping Arm. Manufactured in full compliance with the ISO 12100 Safety Standard for heavy industrial machinery , CSSC engineers integrated this Gradin turnover system alongside our portfolio of custom industrial upenders and mechanical tilters to establish a damage-free, automated marine engine assembly workflow.
